Paul and Mara founded Paulmara Estates 26 years ago with a shared vision — to showcase the exceptional fruit from their Barossa Valley vineyards through handcrafted, small-batch, estate-grown wines. Paul brings an 18-year career as Grower Services Manager for Penfolds, where he worked closely with some of Australia’s most iconic vineyards. Mara’s roots trace back to Sonoma County, California, where she grew up surrounded by vines and the vibrant culture of wine. Together, their combined knowledge, passion, and global perspective shape every bottle they produce.

Every Paulmara wine begins in the vineyard, where Paul personally oversees every detail to ensure premium quality grapes are grown each vintage. The vines are meticulously nurtured, with careful attention to soil health, canopy management, and harvest timing. Their portfolio reflects their passions — from classic Australian wine varieties to Mediterranean grapes they have travelled the world to master. This dedication to both tradition and innovation results in wines of character, balance, and distinction, each one a true expression of their land and craft.
